Biography
Senseless Violence, better known as SLVL, is a hard techno producer and DJ from Maastricht, the Netherlands. His kicks hit like a freight train, his melodies are gritty and nasty, and his sets never slow down. He began his career in 2022 and broke through in 2025, when a series of long-awaited releases and his first big headline shows made him one of the genre's most in-demand names.
In 2023 he co-founded Altruism Records, a label built for the hardest techno. Its annual night at Complex, the world-famous club in Maastricht, has sold out every edition since it started.
Most of his releases were tracks the crowd had been asking for long before they came out. In early 2025 he officially released TIMMERCLUB (SLVL Grenade Kick Edit), his edit of the Vieze Asbak original. A few months later he released S6TP, the long-awaited collaboration with KLOFAMA. Then in August 2025 came his biggest track so far: The Last Airbender (VIP), whose "Appa Yip Yip" hook became one of the most recognisable moments in hard techno. It passed 10 million streams across platforms in its first year. Late in 2025 he released SLUSH Anthem with USH and Shitty Music with Vieze Asbak, and in early 2026 Barrel Kick finally came out. He releases everything himself, one track a month, and the catalogue of unreleased tracks his crowd keeps asking for only gets bigger.
On 27 December 2025 he headlined his own All Day Long with Rotterdam Rave and sold out the main room of the Maassilo in Rotterdam. In 2026 he went global. In February he played the 240km/h Face2Face tour across Hong Kong and Malaysia. In the summer he sold out a North American run through Brooklyn and Los Angeles. Shows in Sydney, Buenos Aires and Madrid made it five continents in one year. He has also played Rave Rebels, HIVE Festival, XXL, Blackworks, Verknipt, Free Your Mind and Teletech at Creamfields.
SLVL is shaping hard techno on his own terms. An album is planned for 2027, and beyond that he wants to find out how far his creativity can take him, without letting the genre decide where his limits are. He wants to take his fans with him, because whatever else changes, his music stays what it has always been for them: an outlet.
